Reptile Renovations
Good ole “Gandalf” the grey rat snake is still here with “Checkers” the red rat snake to greet visitors and students during programs and school group tours.
They have new neighbors, “Monty” the ball python and “Houdini” the scarlet king snake.
“Houdini” is also fondly known as Rhett as he is a male scarlet king snake. Monty the ball python is an exotic African snake recovered from a local swimming pool and has joined our public education crew.
The two young box turtles have a new, beautifully landscaped area to climb, explore and swim.
The enclosures have new foliage for the snakes to slide through and new doors for a clear view.
Program Interpreter, Rebecca Scarbrough created an attractive new label design to go along with many of the new renovations. Program Interpreter, Jodi Duggan landscaped the enclosure for the young box turtles giving them a rich and interactive environment.
Stop in and see the reptiles in their new digs!
