Join us at Gumbo Limbo on Saturday, March 7, 2009 for our Fourth Annual Turtle Day. Celebrate sea turtles, marine life, and our oceans as well as our terrestrial species and habitats in a fun-filled family day of environmental education. All species and habitats are interconnected; learn what conservation actions you can take in your daily life to help make our world a better, cleaner place to live.
Throughout the day enjoy plenty of fun! Games and crafts for the kids, watch the tank side feedings, enjoy a walk through the hammock and climb the 40 ft. tower, and visit over 30 exhibitors. Food and beverages will be available for sale. No admission fee; $5 donation per person suggested.
Parking for the event will be available a short distance from the Nature Center at Spanish River Park South, and Red Reef Park West. Free shuttle buses courtesy of the Boca Hotel and will be available to take visitors from these parking areas to the main entrance of Gumbo Limbo Nature Center.
